MY THOUGHTS ON THE Super Bowl

Winchester, VA – The Crusade News Desk wishes to congratulate the Philadelphia Eagles on their first ever Super Bowl win. That was an exciting game, and I think the first Super Bowl we’ve ever watched…We aren’t major sports fans here, and more years than not we haven’t had cable access to watch. So, needless to say it’s all somewhat new to me…What’s with all the kissing of the Vince Lombardi trophy? Is that like a relic or something? You’d have thought that man was processing up with splinters of the True Cross. And don’t get me started on the germs…you know the flu is sitting on that trophy. No I’m kidding—they were having their moment. But let’s look at the positives: did you hear the Philadelphia Eagles coach give thanks to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ? And the quarterback gave glory to God in his statement. Here’s hoping that the after-game celebrations were as reflective of their faith in God as their speeches were.
