Winchester, VA – Alabama GOP senatorial candidate Roy Moore continues to be embroiled in scandal. Just hours after Moore’s legal team vehemently denied all seven accusations of sexual assault which have been leveled at him, two more women came forward with accusations against Moore. The Washington Examiner reports that Gena Richardson, when she was 17, met Moore while working at Sears. She refused him her phone number, so he called her at her high school principal’s office and asked her out, and did so again at Sears. When she relented, after their movie, she says he forcefully kissed her in a dark parking lot. Phyllis Smith, who was 18 at the time of her experience with Moore, worked at Brooks in the Gadsden Mall, which the New Yorker reports eventually banned Moore for badgering girls. Brooks employees told Smith, “just make yourself scarce when Roy’s in here, he’s just here to bother you, don’t pay attention to him and he’ll go away.” Politico reports that Moore is now trailing Democrat Doug Jones by 12 points, according to a poll conducted by the National Republican Senatorial Committee and released yesterday. This reflects a 28 point drop since early October.
