FROM THE MIKE CHURCH CHATROOM : Evolution is anti-scientific for several reasons, but this is one: mutations CANNOT produce new information. It deforms! Mutations produce more mutations, kind of like errors which are mutations of truth.
There is NO common ground here with evolutionist and creationist.
Reason for discrpency – the key factor is the mutation rate.
10,000 year or less mark – Observed Rate
Evolutionary Rate – the estimated divergence x two different creatures, they extrapolate the mutation rate from that then plug that into the formula.

No solid evidence there was any civilization before 4,000 -5,000 years ago before Noahs flood.
Some scientist will say we have carbon 14 dating etc….
