Phantom Force – Deception was a major part of the Allied campaign plan. To mislead the Germans into believing that the Pas de Calais — rather than the Cotentin Peninsula — would be the site of the invasion, Eisenhower’s staff created a mythical 1st U.S. Army Group. Gen. George S. Patton, the American general the Germans most respected, was assigned to command the phantom army and saw to it that known enemy agents received information on the status of Patton’s force. Components of the fictitious command indulged in extensive radio trafficking to signal to German intelligence analysts that a major military organization was functioning.

Ghost Army – The 1st U.S. Army Group’s efforts are not to be confused with the deception tactics of the 23rd Headquarters Special Troops, also known as the Ghost Army. The unit, which was employed in the immediate aftermath of the Normandy invasion but has little relevance to D-Day itself, was recently awarded the Congressional Gold Medal.

The Resistance – In support of D-Day, the French Resistance’s primary utility was in the gathering of intelligence, the destruction of German logistical and communications capabilities such as railroads and telephone lines. The Allies understood the large-scale coordinated military action by the Resistance would probably not be possible prior to D-Day, but the British Special Operations Executive and the American Office of Strategic Services’ Special Operations division did work closely with the Resistance in the lead up to D-Day.

Airborne Assault – To facilitate the Utah landing force’s movement into the Cotentin Peninsula, the U.S. 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions descended on the peninsula by parachute and glider in the early hours of D-Day. The paratroopers were badly scattered. Many were injured and killed during the attack, and much of their equipment was lost, but the brave paratroopers fought fiercely, ensuring that the men landing on the beaches would meet their objective.

The Cost – In the course of the daring invasion on June 6, 1944, nearly 160,000 Allied troops landed by sea and air on the heavily fortified French coastline. More than 9,000 Allied soldiers were killed or wounded in Normandy — the majority of them American. Although the toll was heavy, by day’s end the Allies had gained a foothold to begin liberating Europe.

• When Hillary Clinton, from sheer paranoia, set up her own private server to conduct business as secretary of state, the FBI naturally took an interest. I worked for many years in a classified environment. If I had done anything similar, I’d be writing this from my austere prison cell. But Clinton wasn’t me. She belonged to a different class. The FBI rapped her knuckles gently, called her out as a bad example, but refused to prosecute. 
• When Joe Biden mishandled classified documents in an apparently egregious manner, he attracted the attention of a special prosecutor. The ensuing investigation proved without a doubt that Biden had violated the law. If I had done the same thing, and stashed government secrets in my garage near my trusty Rav4, I would never see the light of day again. But again, I’m not Biden. He belongs to a special class. The prosecutor’s report admitted Biden’s guilt but refused to prosecute because the president of the United States, leader of the free world, was too old and dotty to be held accountable.
• Then there’s Trump. The New York State district attorney, Alvin Bragg, is a Democrat with powerful political motives to bring down the likely Republican nominee. That should be a scandal but, in the ethical muddle of our age, it seemingly isn’t. The actual charges concocted by Bragg against Trump I leave for the legal experts to parse. None of them rose to the level of Clinton’s server or Biden’s garage sale of secrets. But Trump is the monster that haunts the nightmares of the privileged class. He must be prosecuted in multiple times and places, convicted, fined hundreds of millions, imprisoned, annihilated, pulverised.
• The whole process stinks of desperation. If the progressive elites who run the Biden administration felt confident they could defeat Trump at the polls, we would hear Homeric laughter ringing from the White House and its pet organs in the news media. But Biden is terribly unpopular, even among his base. America’s elites fear and mistrust the American voter. They have lost faith in democracy, a system that in 2016 delivered the power of the presidency to the monstrous Trump, and they dream of a rising class of Platonic guardians, people exactly like themselves, with the right pedigree, the right opinions, the right manners, who rule not because they have won an electoral lottery but in perpetuity, as a reward for their superior virtue.
• Don’t we want to share our ‘Democracy’ with the whole world?
• It isn’t working here so why are we exporting it?
• You have a class of people here that have determined for themselves that they are what this country needs.
• They are so virtuous and smart they should rule over us.
• They all have the pedigree, they all have the diplomas from the swanky universities and therefore have been born into the position of elite ruling class.
• You may have a small say locally.
• You may be able to stop things from being done locally.
• So what do we want our government to do for us?
• Arrest bad people and put them in prisons and keep them there.
• Everything Henry, Mason and all said would happen has come to pass.

• I have it on the authority of New York Times guest editorialist Norm Eisen that Trump’s 34 felony convictions concern “profoundly serious” crimes. But one point I’m still not clear on is how Trump was supposed to describe his payments to Stormy Daniels.
• The smear merchant was first hired after singer Gennifer Flowers told a tabloid she’d had a lengthy affair with Clinton. Palladino wrote a memo to the campaign, promising to impugn her “character and veracity until she is destroyed beyond all recognition.”
• Notice a pattern here?
• When Democrats are caught, what do they do when a love child happens?
• They always deny the child is theirs.

He stood at the site of the U.S. Ranger Monument at Pointe du Hoc on the northern coast of France where Allied soldiers had courageously charged ashore. Now on this anniversary of D-Day, Reagan’s words still ring poignant and memorable.
• For 4 long years, much of Europe had been under a terrible shadow. Free nations had fallen, Jews cried out in the camps, millions cried out for liberation. Europe was enslaved, and the world prayed for its rescue. Here in Normandy the rescue began. Here the Allies stood and fought against tyranny in a giant undertaking unparalleled in human history.

Trump – He has gone into hiding for days. If I didn’t have social media, I have no way of getting out my voice. I don’t have to discredit you b/c you discredit yourself.

• Every claim of the defense seemed to collapse in the first two days of the trial. The defense argued that Hunter did not check the box on the gun form, so the prosecutors called the employee who watched him fill out the form. It claimed he was not using drugs at the time, so the prosecutors read texts from the next day in which Hunter sought to buy crack and called a series of witnesses on his continual use of crack during the period. The defense previously claimed the laptop showed evidence of tampering, so the prosecutor called a FBI agent establishing that there is no evidence of tampering and that the laptop is authentic. The defense claimed that Hunter just wandered into the store and was pressured to buy a gun, so prosecutors called an employee who testified that Hunter came in specifically wanting to buy a gun. As previously discussed, the lack of a defense is becoming glaringly obvious as is the nullification strategy.
