Winchester, VA – The Washington Times reports that ISIS has changed its battlefield tactics to guerrilla warfare as a result of having lost their territory in Iraq and Syria to the efforts of the United States and Russian backed forces. In their recent official Al Naba publication was an article entitled, “How Do We Fight Under the Watchful Eye of the Crusader Planes?” In the article it advises ISIS fighters not to remain in fortified stagnant positions, which are easy to target, but to move around so as to ambush the allies and evade detection at the same times. Other tactics which are passed onto the jihadis are:

  • Dispatch a drone to draw coalition fire to find the opposition’s location.
  • Use more camouflage and cut back on supply deliveries.
  • Reduce the number of fighters stationed on the front lines. And
  • Refrain from firing until coalition forces get close enough that allied aircraft will not risk bombing friendly troops.
