AN AMERICAN WOMAN AND HER FAMILY WERE FREED FROM THE TALIBAN YESTERDAY

Winchester, VA – ABC News reports that 31 year old Caitlan Coleman and her husband 34 year old Joshua Boyle along with their three children have been freed from Taliban captivity and were rescued yesterday, five years to the day since the couple were taken into captivity. All three children were born as captives. Their freedom was secured in an exchange between Pakistani military and U.S. commandos in a secret operation. The couple had been seen by their family in videos and had been able to correspond with family while being held hostage. In the last video, from last January, Joshua Boyle is optimistic, cracking jokes about letters he has received, and claiming that their conditions had improved as of the beginning of the year.
