Winchester, VA – CBS News reports that Jeopardy contestant Nick Spicher was out of luck—and $3,200-after he mispronounced the name of a Coolio rap song in his answer. As it turns out, “gangsta” and “gangster” have separate listings in the Oxford English Dictionary, and their definitions differ. According to the Jeopardy website, “Nick changed not only the song’s title, but also its meaning – making his response unacceptable.” Rapper Coolio himself weighed in on the matter, telling TMZ that would have probably let it slide, but “This is for white people. The ‘E-R will always get you in trouble. Never use the ‘E-R.’ If you don’t have to use the ‘E-R,’ don’t use it.” Alrighty then.
