53% OF STUDENTS SUPPORT SOCIALISM, BUT DO THEY EVEN KNOW WHAT SOCIALISM IS?

Winchester, VA – Campus Reform reports that last year’s Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation’s Annual Report on U.S. Attitudes towards Socialism revealed that 53% of Americans below the age of 35 are disillusioned with capitalism and are receptive to the idea of a socialist United States of America. 45% of young Americans in the same poll indicated that they would support an openly socialist president. In an effort to see if these young millenials actually understand what is meant by the socialist ideas they claim to espouse, Campus Reform took to the streets of Washington D.C. to interview students on two key points: 1. Do they like socialism and 2. What is socialism.
