A LAWYER TAKES A STAND AGAINST GLOBAL WARMING: BY INCINERATING HIMSELF

Winchester, VA – A 60 year old prominent lawyer was so upset about manmade global warming that he decided to do something about it and removed someone from the planet: himself. The incinerated remains of attorney David Buckel were located in Prospect Park in Brooklyn not long after his having emailed his suicide note to multiple news outlets. The New York Times reports his suicide note expressing, “Pollution ravages our planet, oozing inhabitability via air, soil, water and weather. My early death by fossil fuel reflects what we are doing to ourselves.” Buckel had been the lead attorney in a case dealing with an assaulted and murdered transgender teen, and was a senior counsel at Lambda Legal, which concerns itself with LGBT issues.  Unfathomable.
