Modern readers are going to become acquainted with a thrilling portrait of George Washington that has been largely lost to the mists of time. Now, for the first time, this magnificent work has been fully digitized, corrected and reformatted for modern readers by Mike Church and Founding Father Films Publishing.

Winchester, VA – In this Celestial Musings, Swedish lunacy has extended to the country’s public library system. Breitbart is reporting that the Swedish libraries have been throwing away, and possibly even burning, copies of a book whose racist content simply could be tolerated no longer. The book? Pippi Longstocking, actually, Pippi in the South Seas to be exact. Apparently, the intolerable phrase in the book was, “king of the Negroes” or “negro King.” The libraries have replaced the eliminated copies with a more recent edition which substitutes the abhorrent phrases with “the king of the South Seas” or “South Sea King.” I fail to understand this obsession with erasing cultural history, when we could simply leave it, and allow it to open up a discussion with the next generation. Wouldn’t that be more productive than pretending it never happened in the first place?
