WE NEED TO FIGURE OUT A BETTER WAY TO TAKE A STAND

Winchester, VA – In this Celestial Musings, if you follow me on Twitter, you already know that I was very dismayed at the bombing of Syria on Friday. President trump said the bombing was not carried out as an intervention, but was done to make a stand against the use of chemical weapons. One bright woman named Amber Zirkelbach of Wooster was asked if she supported the missile attack on Syria. She responded, “I’m just thankful that Syria didn’t bomb us for poisoning the children of Flint or gassing natives at Standing Rock.” As for me, I think I would like to “take a stand” against the scourges of alcohol abuse, drugs and pornography, which are ripping families and lives apart. Should I start lobbing missiles at addicts’ houses? What about abortion? I want to take a stand against that, too. Shall I start lobbing missiles at abortion clinics? This sort of “stand” makes Black Lives Matter and Occupy Wall Street look like child’s play. Let us hope this is the last such “stand” President Trump makes in his tenure.
