Similar to a pilot episode, the audition episode introduces the show and it’s characters to the audience.  After the episode aired, people would send letters or messages to the studios and based on those letters the studio would order more episodes.  Audition episodes are a rare find so this episode of Six Shooter is truly unique. 

The Six Shooter staring Jimmy Stewart,  is the story of Britt Ponset, a wanderer, who is unable to put down roots in any one place.  He prefers to sleep by a campfire instead of in a soft hotel bed. So, riding his horse Scar, he  forever wandered around the frontier. His wide variety of adventures included stalking a killer to judging a preserves-tasting contest.
