In this show, say that the Muslims destroyed the library of Alexandria. I thought I read that is was destroyed by Julius Caesar.
Caesar’s destruction was partial. Several Muslim sources — much after the fact — relate that the Islamic conquest of Alexandria was responsible for the library being burned down. The Wikipedia article is “skeptical” about this:
