Winchester, VA - The Jones Act is a piece of legislation which limits shipping between United States coasts to U.S.-flagged vessels. When Hurricanes Harvey and Irma struck Texas and Florida respectively, the Jones Act was suspended by the Department of Homeland Security so that aid could get to the storm ravaged states quickly.
