Winchester, VA – Fox News reports that a computer glitch resulted in the crashing of airline check-in systems in over 100 airports around the world. Thousands of travelers remained grounded as a result of what Amadeus Alta, the company providing the check-in software, called a “network issue that is causing disruption.” Some of the affected airports are London’s Heathrow International Airport, Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport , and Washington D.C.’s Ronald Reagan International Airport. Amadeus Alta assured stranded passengers and airline staff that technical teams are at work trying to fix the issue and services are gradually being restored. Although passengers can still check in for their flights, the process will just take longer than usual.
