A train has derailed in Washington State and the accident is being treated as a mass-casualty incident

Winchester, VA – We open this newscast with breaking news out of Pierce County in Washington State, where, around 7:30 a.m., Amtrack Train #501 which operates between Seattle and Portland derailed on an overpass, crashing into the interstate below. All traffic was blocked on Interstate 5 and the Washington State Department of Transportation was urging motorists to avoid the area. The derailment is being treated as a mass casualty incident, but no details of inuries have been released.  Tomorrow a bit of further coverage regarding what details are known, and how this this accident will be investigated..
