3rd Order – Bind oneself to God, people that have families can’t make that vow b/c you have children and a wife. You can’t make a vow of poverty if you have a family. So Saint Francis wanted to offer a type of religious life to lay people according to their state in life. Not as in a gun to fight for their landlord, you could fight for the Church, your country and for your family. 

• We are trying to revive the 3rd Order. 
• Living as secular religious in the world. 
• It is about prayer and the growth in virtue.
