- Demand side shock during COVID.
- There was more demand.
- If this goes longer than a week we will be in crisis.
- We are so far behind w/ technology in our ports and infrastructure.
- You can automate a lot of that port and the system.
- The workers are saying we won’t stand for it.
- There are 85,000 workers.
- This is not a good thing at all and I don’t think the government will get involved at all.
- Port workers..they vote too.
- So this is a big deal happening right before a big presidential election.
- Who is the boogyman that the ILA is negotiation with?
- Is it the companies that own the ports?
- Who pays these guys?
- Port Authority which is a public organization.
- Not many ports are privately owned.
- These workers have the upper hand here.
- Where is the media on this?
- There is total and complete devastation and the MSM isn’t covering it.
