A large number Inuit women of Greenland were fitted with birth control devices without their knowledge and consent. 67 women filed a claim for compensation from the Danish government. They claimed the government fitted them with intrauterine devices, (IUD), decades ago. These devices caused lifelong health problem and unexplained fertility.
