• This is truly bananas: all of Europe appears to have been seconds away a continent-wide blackout. 
• The grid frequency across continental Europe plunged to 49.85 hertz — just a hair above the red-line collapse threshold.  
• The normal operating frequency for Europe’s power grid is 50.00 Hz, kept with an extremely tight margin of ±0.1 Hz. Anything outside ±0.2 Hz triggers major emergency actions. 
• If the frequency had fallen just another 0.3 Hz — below 49.5 Hz — Europe could have suffered a system-wide cascading blackout. 
• At that threshold, automatic protective relays disconnect major power plants, and collapse accelerates.

• Spain’s blackout came at a time when its grid has been running on somewhere between 70 percent and 75 percent of input from renewables—an all-time high.
• The country’s Keynesian response to the 2008 crash saw solar panels deployed ubiquitously on empty expanses, and their private installment in homes lavishly subsidized—a policy rush that culminated in solar feeding 55 percent of the grid’s power input on Monday morning, with wind contributing 11 percent. As asynchronous sources, the amount of energy these panels and turbines produce can’t be controlled on short notice—to say nothing of their unpredictable flow of year-long generation—leading to Monday’s unexpected, blackout-inducing “surge” of solar energy.

• This guys name is not DB Cooper.
• An agent w/ the FBI, it happened in 1971, it was carrying a cash payroll and he found out about it.
• He used cash to buy a one-way ticket on Flight #305, bound for Seattle, Washington.
• When the flight landed in Seattle, the hijacker exchanged the flight’s 36 passengers for the money and parachutes. Cooper kept several crew members, and the plane took off again, ordered to set a course for Mexico City.
• Somewhere between Seattle and Reno, a little after 8:00 p.m., the hijacker did the incredible: He jumped out of the back of the plane with a parachute and the ransom money. The pilots landed safely, but Cooper had disappeared into the night and his ultimate fate remains a mystery to this day.
• Richard Floyd McCoy, is still a favorite suspect among many. We tracked down and arrested McCoy for a similar airplane hijacking and escape by parachute less than five months after Cooper’s flight. But McCoy was later ruled out because he didn’t match the nearly identical physical descriptions of Cooper provided by two flight attendants and for other reasons.
• Cooper didn’t survive his jump from the plane. After all, the parachute he used couldn’t be steered, his clothing and footwear were unsuitable for a rough landing, and he had jumped into a wooded area at night—a dangerous proposition for a seasoned pro, which evidence suggests Cooper was not. This theory was given an added boost in 1980 when a young boy found a rotting package full of twenty-dollar bills ($5,800 in all) that matched the ransom money serial numbers.
• QUESTION: What would his $200,000 be equal to today?
• ANSWER: He would have the purchasing power of $23,700.
• Is that a fair deal?
• QUESTION: Let’s pretend he took $200,000 in gold bars what would he have today?
• ANSWER: 1971 pre-Nixon Gold was $40/oz so he would have the purchasing power of $11 million $500,000. 
• What is the lesson? 
• I think we could sell about 20,000 but only 6,000 are available. 
• This could be your families generational wealth.

• The young man goes over and standing there at 6’4” Washington on his horse looks down and asks are these men under your command?
• Washington then says tell me Lad, how old are you?
• Washington then replies only 16?
• He then says show me you know what you are doing w/ your artillery.
• He makes Hamilton a Captain right then and there.
• At the young age of 16 Hamilton becomes an Officer.

The majority of the payment systems we have no idea where these payments go. It is a huge cause for concern.
