• Catholic Mass at Saint Patrick Cathedral in New Orleans.
• Father talked about how he thought there is a genuine feeling that there is an opportunity to repair some of the damage done by Pope Francis. 
• We had some Catholics ready to declare war against Pope Francis. 
• It seems as though maybe this war is going to come to an end under Pope Leo XIV.
• The first takeaway for me, is how smart he is.

• Where would you get the Constitutional authority to do this?
• Is it true that most of the cost of medications comes from testing?
• I think we as a population are over medicated.
• In the United States, about 23.7% is spent in the medical services industry of some sort.
• The world average is less than 9% in all other civilized country. 
• What do they know we don’t know?
• I thought ObamaCare was supposed to fix all of this anyway.

• The old MSY across from the runways, it was swamp land, they filled it in an built an entire new airport here in New Orleans. 
• There is a book – The Big Ripoff by Timothy P Carney 
• Whether you fly or not you have to subsidize the airport in your area.
• Private Jet Service – can cost you $10,000-$20k a flight.
• If you actually had to pay for flight, is that the real cost w/o government subsidies? 
• This is very much like the property taxes that subsidize the public school system. 
• Have our children gotten smarter? 
• So we know that throwing money at things doesn’t make it better or more efficient. 

• If you don’t have insurance, one tube of psoriasis medicine runs you about $950 per tube.
• With insurance and a $50 co-pay it will run you about $75.
• What does health insurance actually pay for?
• How much do you pay a year in insurance premiums? 
• Is it a free and fair system?
• How many people are shackled to companies because they need the insurance?

HEADLINE: Trump administration threatens to arrest House Democrats over ICE facility incident by Andrew Solender

• The lawmakers and ICE officers got into a physical confrontation over the arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka for allegedly trespassing at the Delaney Hall detention center in Newark.
• DHS is accusing the House Democrats of assaulting law enforcement. The lawmakers say they were the ones who were assaulted.
• Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-N.J.), Rob Menendez (D-N.J.) and LaMonica McIver (D-N.J.).

You must read and hear and discern that underlying the message being communicated is a very different message, a subtle message that has severe consequences for the future of society. Catholics trust that their Church will endure. Protestants keep starting new ones—constantly purity-testing their theology, their pastors, their doctrine. Over 100 of them including multiple Trump-appointed judges have stood up and said hey, this is unconstitutional. You can’t steal peoples private data in social security Elon Musk. You cannot freeze funds for medical research that has been already allocated. 

AUDIO/VIDEO: Tom Homan Border Czar – Trespassing On Facility – There is a way to conduct proper oversight. You don’t break into the facility when a bus load of criminals is being brought in. You don’t make an unauthorized entry like that. You can’t cross that line, if they impede, they will be arrested. This behavior creates a massive safety crisis and these politicians know this.  

• This isn’t a disagreement w/ our ‘friends on the other side of the isle’. 
• This is one group proposing to wage war against citizens.

• Like many American Catholics, on some political and social matters, I sometimes feel torn between my support for President Trump’s agenda and certain messages coming from the Vatican. Nowhere is this conflict more pronounced than on the issue of mass illegal immigration into the USA and how that issue does or does not embody the mercy taught by Jesus Christ.
• So what is a MAGA Catholic to do? Well, my answer is this: rest easy, your faith and your patriotism are not in conflict; it just seems that way thanks to a mainstream media overtly eager to wrest all Christians away from support for President Trump and his MAGA agenda.
• Surely it is not merciful to destroy your own church?
• It took the Spaniards how long to get rid of the Muslims?
• It took 1,108 years to get them out.
• For all you MAGA Catholics: Why are you surprised that the Catholic Church would preach mercy on the matter of immigration? The Vatican does not make our laws; the U.S. Congress and the President do. The Vatican proposes a spiritual framework for the decisions that actual worldly rulers must make. Yes, refugees fleeing genuine persecution are worthy of mercy. It is not surprising that a pope might frame that message in one of mercy for ALL immigrants, even illegal ones. The Church merely informs the application of mercy; it is up to our elected leaders to engage in policies that serve that mercy in a practical manner, and in that regard I see no conflict between the USA’s policies on immigration and the policies of the Catholic Church.
• MAGA and Catholicism are wholly compatible when it comes to mercy. Both seek to elevate mercy as a guiding principle, but in an ordered fashion that recognizes sovereignty and national borders. Rest easy, American Catholics, and please give Pope Leo XIV a chance. I believe he will honor the formal teachings of the Church on immigration and will seek to create the unity in the Church that Pope Francis seemed so eager to tear apart.
