Winchester, VA – The Daily Mail reported that Central Station in Brussels, Belgium was the scene of an attempted terror attack last night. Around 9:00 in the evening, a man described by a witness as being “tanned and well-built” and wearing a rucksack, black jeans, a white shirt, and reported wires around his waist shouted “Allahu akbar!!” and triggered an explosion on a luggage cart. The Guardian reports that the unnamed suspect was shot dead by police almost immediately. FoxNews reported via VTM News that the police carried out a controlled explosion on an explosives belt. Central Station and surrounding businesses were evacuated as a precaution in the event that the attacker was not acting alone. One witness, Ludovic Hampton, tweeted, “When you want to take the train to your last exam and you’re walking through central station and something that looked & sounded like a bom [sic] goes of [sic] 30 meters away from you…I’m lucky to still be alive.”
