CONGRESS HAS AWARDED CHARLIE GARD PERMANENT RESIDENCY

Winchester, VA – The Telegraph is reporting that the House of Representatives passed an amendment yesterday which bestows permanent resident status to Charlie Gard, the 11 month old with a  mitochondrial disorder whose parents are fighting British doctors to be able take him to the United States for experimental therapy. It is hoped that with this status, Charlie could be taken to the United States without needing the permission of the British doctors.
