Winchester, VA – The Associated Press is reporting that two Cuban diplomats were expelled from their embassy in Washington in May following an investigation into an incident with American diplomats residing Cuba. In the fall of 2016, American diplomats, and some of their spouses, began experiencing significant, unexplained loss of hearing. The loss was so extensive that some of the diplomats had to return to the United States for treatment. American officials investigating the situation concluded that the diplomats had been exposed to an advanced, covert device which had been deployed either inside or outside of their residences, and which operated outside the range of audible sound. Whether the incident was deliberate or not is unknown.
