POLICE OFFICERS WERE SHOT IN FLORIDA AND PENNSYLVANIA

Winchester, VA – UPI reports that three separate shootings claimed the lives of two police officers and wounded two more in Pennsylvania and Florida. In Kissimmee Florida, Officer Matthew Baxter and Sergeant Richard “Sam” Howard were investigating reports of suspicious people Friday evening when they were shot and killed. Officer Baxter died at the scene and Sergeant Howard passed away Saturday afternoon. Forty-five year old marine veteran Everett Glenn Miller was arrested at a nearby bar and the shooting is suspected to have been an ambush. In Jacksonville, Florida, two officers were wounded while responding to an attempted suicide call. A shootout ensued which took the lives of the suspect, and injured both officers, one in the hands and one in the stomach. On Friday night in Fayette County, Pennsylvania 2 troopers were shot during an incident at a store, in which the suspect was also killed. Both troopers are stable.
