HEADLINE: Texas blocks federal border agents from processing migrants in Eagle Pass public park by Camilo Montoya-Galvez 

• After seizing control of Shelby Park in Eagle Pass, Texas National Guard units deployed by Republican Gov. Greg Abbott have prevented Border Patrol agents from entering the area, the federal officials said. Border Patrol has used the park in recent weeks to hold migrants in an outdoor staging area before they are transported for further processing, including last month, when illegal crossings soared to record levels.
• Finally after people have been screaming and pleading for Governor Abbott to do something about the illegals he is.
• He has taken it upon himself to stop the Federal agents from letting illegals in.
• He signed the bill making it illegal and that they would be arrested if attempting to come across the border.

HEADLINE: Texas seizes control of park, blocks Border Patrol from entering, as part of anti-illegal immigration efforts by Adam Shaw and Bill Melugin

Bill Melugin – The Texas Military Department confirms the TX National Guard has seized control of Shelby Park in Eagle Pass (city property where mass illegal crossings are), and is restricting Border Patrol from accessing the area, saying the Feds “perpetuate illegal crossings”. This is the area where Border Patrol has been cutting TX razor wire. Razor wire and fences are now deployed to block the area off from the public and federal government. Attached video is from our crew on the ground this morning as they began blocking it off. 

• “The Texas National Guard has maintained a presence with security points and temporary barrier in Shelby Park since 2021. The current posture is to prepare for future illegal immigrant surges and to restrict access to organizations that perpetuate illegal immigrant crossings in the park and greater Eagle Pass area.” – Texas Military Department 
• “As caravans of migrants are moving through Mexico toward the U.S. border, we are making clear that Texas will be a tough place to cross.” – Governor Greg Abbott
• You can conclude then that the government of Mexico has contacted the WH.
• They have to go through Mexico.
• They have to have been promised safe passage or something!

• He left in his wake a trail of hundreds of young men.
• It is an epic catastrophe.

Flashback – Nancy Pelosi says there is no question that Democrats have always been for securing the border. Here is Pelosi and Chuck Schumer arguing with Donald Trump about securing the border back in 2018. Trump ended up shutting down the government because Pelosi and Schumer wouldn’t help allocate $5.7 billion for a border wall, saying it was too expensive. Since then, the U.S. has given tens of billions of dollars to Ukraine and migrant encounters at the border are at an all time high.

• If you talk to people in that line of work, to go to war w/ the Cartel, look the Mexican police and military have been trying to snuff out the cartels and they haven’t made a dent.

JUST IN –  Bill Melugin Twitter – In overnight DOJ filing, Feds confirm that the TX National Guard “has deployed armed soldiers and vehicles to block federal gov from accessing the river” in Eagle Pass, & TX informed them no BP agents will be allowed to enter Shelby Park “in any operational capacity”.  This is a significant escalation by Texas after Feds fought to remove TX water barriers and razor wire, & DOJ is suing TX over its new border security law. This is potentially setting up to be the biggest state vs federal fight in a very long time. 

• This is a Federal Government vs State fight here!
• Texas is actually taking on the Federal Government here over the border and we are loving it.
• My wife was so angry over this – the DHS letter at the airport w/ their little plastic bags.
• We experienced their entitled firsthand and it was infuriating. 
• They feel like since they are being treated so great by our government they are actually better than us the average American citizen.
• What is the difference b/w this current Regime and a Nikki Haley Regime?

He often seems like he just met the text.
