In 1968, Harvard released a study that redefined death.  They based their new definition on brain activity, which is now referred to as brain death.  This new definition is used by doctors to persuade families to pull life support from their loved ones. In some countries, brain death is justification to terminate someone’s life because it is costing taxpayers money.  Mike Parrott reveals how this definition has made it is way into our vocabularies, but he also takes a look at how this definition may have opened the door to illegal organ harvesting and human trafficking.  How does this study and human trafficking connect, listen to this episode of Parrott Talk.
