Sign Up NowThe postcard is almost an exhibit in a history museum. Sending a postcard to your friends and family was a fun way to share your trip. You would see them in a rack just outside of stores and magazine stands. They would have messages like “Aloha from Hawaii,” or they were a picture of a famous landmark or landscape. A postcard was only big enough to scribble a small greeting and your name and they were super cheap to send in the mail. Unfortunately, with the cell phone, social media and emails, the era of the postcard is at an end. Millennials and younger generations are not purchasing them, and a postcard seems to be more of a cheap memory of your adventure. Fiorella has a conversation about this relic and recounts the feelings of receiving post cards in the mail. She also talks about women in sport day, and her life as an immigrant.
