But can the headstrong Eliza Doolittle really fool society simply by being taught to ‘talk more genteel’? This is a classic comedy of manners, which takes a serious look at class politics and the unforeseen consequences of education.

Nazneen is only a teenager when she is sent from her Bangladeshi village to London and an arranged marriage with the pompous but kindly Chanu. Nazneen struggles to adapt to life in a new country but then the dreamy Karim walks into her loveless marriage, offering her a way out if she can only bring herself to trust him.
