• Ask Pope Francis to restore women to the ordained diaconate, to include women as voting members at meetings of the synod of bishops, to reopen the discussion of women’s ordination, and to name women as cardinals at the next consistory and at every consistory going forward until a balance is achieved.

Here is the prayer they want you to say: “That from this community of gathered people will rise a new church:  a church that protects the abused and the marginalized, ministering to all in search of healing; a church that strives continually to overcome every type of discrimination, whether social or cultural, whether based on gender, race, color, social condition, sexual orientation, language or religion, in order to pave the way for a new future of joy and hope . . . we pray to the Lord.

• Question: “What is Coptic Christianity, and what do Coptic Christians believe?” Answer: “Coptic” means “Egyptian,” and Christians living in Egypt identify themselves as Coptic Christians. As a denomination they originated in the city of Alexandria, one of the most faithful, respected, and fruitful cities during the Apostolic Period. Proudly, the Coptic Christians acknowledge and herald John Mark, (author of the Gospel of Mark), as their founder and first bishop sometime between A.D. 42 – A.D. 62. The Coptic Church was actually involved in the very first major split in the Church, well before there was such a thing as “Roman” Catholicism, and it was also well before the East/West split.
• What is missing at the USCCB this year? The well sculpted men that used to parade about hanging out with the Bishops.
• Mass is NOT penance. Mass and penance is NOT the same thing.
• We are talking about sacrilege on a massive scale here.
• They usually do these Bishop meetings in private for a reason.
• These men have been exhausted to a higher leadership role. They are supposed to represent the faith.
• Example: professional sports when they meet the media after what do they wear? They shower and they put on the suit.

• Behind closed doors, many of the bishops are furious at being asked to put their names to a document some see as a hollow PR gesture. Some have privately noted that, far from sending a message of contrition, it confirms the worst fears of Catholics: that as a body their leaders need to have the basic moral tenets of their office spelled out for them.

• Jesse recounted a story about a Priest that was near to the end of his life and wanted to find out some stories being told about his Priest.
• He was going to go to judgement as and unapologetic apostate.
• These Bishops are focusing on money. You don’t hear anything about sin or morality.
• You get the Catholic Campaign for Social Justice.

About Dr. Alan Keyes – Alan Keyes is a strong Catholic family man who spent 11 years with the U.S. State Department. He served in the U.S. Foreign Service and on the staff of the National Security Council before becoming Ronald Reagan’s Assistant Secretary of State for International Organizations (1985-88). Keyes currently writes for Lifesite News, World Net Daily, and Church Militant. Dr. Keyes has a Ph.D. in government from Harvard and wrote his dissertation on constitutional theory. He served as Interim President of Alabama A&M University in 1991. He speaks French and has studied Spanish, Russian, and ancient Greek, and is the author of Masters of the Dream: The Strength and Betrayal of Black America (1995); and Our Character, Our Future: Reclaiming America’s Moral Destiny (1996). 

• Mike tells story of his Uber driver that was from Nigeria – he was baptized Catholic in Nigeria and came to America and is becoming an American citizen now. He has now become Methodist. He said the Catholic religion is NOT the same as the Catholic religion here in America.
• You have to have the body of Christ. You cannot turn that on and off. You have to heave that mind and heart at all times.

• Your identity is not determined by your passions.
• Your identity of following Christ has to take precedence over everything else.

• Dr. Alan Keyes : I gave up reading them a long time ago (speeches that is). I also have the experience of giving them now. I have a moment of panic before speeches, and very often that will lead me to my prayer before going on.
