• After Abrego Garcia was released Friday, immigration officials notified his attorneys that they plan to deport him to Uganda after he rejected a plea deal to be deported to Costa Rica in exchange for pleading guilty to smuggling charges and remaining in jail, Abrego Garcia’s lawyers said in a court filing on Saturday.

• The Stupid party aka the Republicans, are going in and gaveling into session to keep Trump from using recess appointment power. 
• Some others are now starting to complain about it other than Alina Habba.
• This is wrong, why is Chuck Grassley and John Thune and Thom Tillis, why are they blocking her recess appointment?
• This is what just angers me these days.

• Out of all the reviews, only one was negative. But the point is not to brag — I don’t think these comments reflect anything about me and my teaching ability. I’m teaching in basically the same manner I have for years.
• I banned all cellphones and computer-based note taking in the classroom, with the exception that students could use a device if they wrote with a stylus. Initially, my students were skeptical, if not totally opposed. But after a couple of weeks, they recognized they were better off for it — better able to absorb and retain information, and better able to enjoy their time in class.
• The worst thing is to see a family eating out and they are ALL on mobile devices. The children on iPads or iPhones along with the parents. NONE of them are interacting w/ each other. 
• I’ve had to go to confession and confess anger and some words I may have said due to my phone. Like the constant updates, the constant not working the way it should. I’m not the only person that screams at my phone. 
• I attuned to where this “new” media is going to take us. My experience so far is not good. They are more worried about likes and clicks over actual factual content. We stopped viewing life through the lens of eternity.
• Anyway I was fascinated by this headline when I saw it and wanted to know more. 
• Every school in the country should implement this. 
• Students who were required to take class notes by hand retained significantly more information than students who used computers. The reason is that with computers, students can type as fast as I speak and strive for verbatim transcripts, but there is almost no mental processing of the class’s content. Conversely, virtually no one can hand write 125 words per minute for 90 minutes. Thus, handwritten notes require simultaneous mental processing to determine the important points that need recording. This processing encodes the material in the brain differently and facilitates longer-term retention.

• This is an instance that grey brain matter is being crushed by the skull. She can’t possibly be this stupid. 
• I shouldn’t have to explain this to people but apparently there are a lot of dumb people out there. 

• The petition — posted on the website change.org and addressed to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis — calls for both DeSantis and the Florida Board of Executive Clemency to re-examine the case against the 28-year-old. Singh faces three counts of vehicular homicide and three counts of manslaughter in connection with the deadly Aug. 12 crash. 
• This 10th mission targets similar objectives for Starship, including another attempt at first deployment of a payload of simulated next-generation Starlink satellites, as well as reignition of one of its Raptor engines and reentry tests. Those tests include testing different materials for Starship.
• Starbase is set to eventually launch 25 Starships a year, with a long-term goal to eventually reach 1,000 launches a year. An additional Starship launchpad is under construction on Launch Pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

• The Congressional Apportionment Amendment (originally titled Article the First) is a proposed amendment to the United States Constitution that addresses the number of seats in the House of Representatives. It was proposed by Congress on September 25, 1789, but was never ratified by the requisite number of state legislatures. As Congress did not set a time limit for its ratification, the Congressional Apportionment Amendment is still pending before the states. As of 2025, it is one of six unratified amendments.
• Details of the Amendment –
  It set a maximum population limit for each House district, stating that there should be one Representative for every 30,000 people until the number reached 100, and then one for every 40,000 until the number reached 200, and then one for every 50,000.
• Because Congress didn’t set a deadline for its ratification, it remains in a perpetual state of ‘pending’ before the states.

• What does changing REAL content to AI fixes for people?
• It gives you the sense that all the videos are fake.
• So your perception in reality changes does it not?
• AI is a good tool for things but it shouldn’t replace reality.
• So content creators are saying they won’t go all AI but what if you are on a platform that is being monitored by AI like X is with Grok?
• Really good point, you can’t confront the AI confessor. 
• I don’t think this is a positive development at all.
• I get asked everyday by software development companies that are programming AI into the widgets we use for our websites. 
• These platforms thrive when there is a general look to things. It makes their algorithms run more smoothly too. 
• If you own a DVD of a show you own it, they can’t change it.
• You don’t really own anything you rent or have subscriptions to everything. 
• My generation is very comfortable with that but we saw them start to change Christmas shows etc that they deemed not ‘woke’ enough. 
• AI has no ethical basis other than what that group programmed into it.
• Using it to decide on impactful things to human lives is a problem.
• Vivek is wanting to streamline it in and I think Republicans will reject that as they should.
• Elon is getting credit for Grok and it isn’t what they think it is. It is not a good thing. Democrats will clue into this very quickly. There are people on the left that will understand their new stance can be ending this new AI revolution. 
• They are great at becoming a one issue party and if they take on AI they will win over people on the right.
• I don’t think Elon is evil but we have lost DOGE and that was a major blow to us.
• It was a main reason we voted for Trump.
