Christopher Laurence Examines – Just Don’t Look

There are some well-intentioned blogs and new media sites out there covering much of the increasing degeneracy and “woke” influence in film and TV. They were the ones to break the story of Gina Carano being fired from Disney’s “Mandalorian”, and they daily cover the likes of race-swapping Superman; which classic characters are suddenly gay; new pedo-friendly, Netflix cartoon series; new films centered around peddling abortion; comic books with Communist superheroes; and more. These outlets are attempting to bring the ever-increasing level of degenerate permeation into popular media to everyone’s attention through their coverage.

But I have a better idea: just stop covering it.

The old adage goes that there is no such thing as bad press, and if you want some recent proof of that, look at Trump’s (actual) popularity, despite receiving exclusively bad press for 5+ years. And I mean vicious, repugnant, hateful press.

Constant articles about the latest Leftist-pandering pieces of entertainment media only seem to bring about two effects:

1) They rally those of us against these developments to flood the comment sections, decrying the degeneracy of all entertainment (while many of us sadly still line the coffers of Disney+ and Netflix), which, in turn

2) Provokes a corresponding anti-backlash from “progressives” (see; degenerates) who in then rally to foist newer and greater support upon the vehicles panegyrizing their (anti-)values.

The result is greater support and attention from these conglomerates’ target audience, and the continual, trickling-in revenue from those who are supposedly opposed, but who can’t bring themselves to be down even a single means of constant, on-demand entertainment. The only way to inhibit, even at a lilliputian level, the growth of these entities, and halt the spread of their iniquitous messaging, is to stop talking about them, stop writing about them, and not only stop giving them money, but also stop giving them coverage.

I know what you’re going to say; “Christopher, you write about this stuff. You’re kind of writing about it right now.” Fair enough. However, I am writing to you, dear Crusade Channel supporter, who I can be sure has long ago cut the cord of Netflix and premium cable, and never even entertained the idea of a subscription to Disney+. This is a safe place. And, further, I would love to devote the fullness of my energies to coverage of positive, Catholic-influenced, morally invigorating entertainment media, but sadly, there isn’t enough of it out there to make this a full-time endeavor. I’m hoping, praying, and laboring for that to change.

There is painfully little about the current offerings of these “entertainment” services that people with an intact morality need to be aware of. Don’t believe me?

Hulu is developing a new series based on Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee’s.. umm.. intimate recordings. That’s right; a script was written up, a budget proposed and casting done (oh boy, I don’t even want to think about that) for a series based on a piece of absolute public depravity.

Netflix is releasing a show centered around three-way promiscuity.

A transsexual is hosting The E Network’s awards season red carpet events.

There is a pro-Black Panther Party film from HBO Max titled, “Judas and the Black Messiah”. You can also purchase a copy on blu-ray at Best Buy!

And this is actually par for the course morally regarding what is being produced by these media outlets.

What do I gain from learning about these things? If anything, it could contribute to my own moral decline and yours as desensitization to these things sets in, as I fear it already largely has. The effect of all this is exactly what they aim for it to be: the normalization of homosexuality, promiscuity, Godlessness, blasphemy, pedophilia and all other manner of degeneracy. They want to push the notion that their media is reality. If HBO depicts it and Netflix promotes it, then it must be the norm. But we know better. And there is no reason to let them constantly attempt to force us to accept the alternative. Tune them out, turn them off. And stop reading about them, too.
