Winchester, VA – World Net Daily and Jihad Watch are reporting on disturbing developments coming out of Sterling Heights, Michigan, where U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers unexpectedly raided the houses of 100-200 Chaldean and Assyrian Christians, rounded them up, and took them away by bus, presumably to be deported back to war-torn Iraq, where struggle and persecution likely await them. These Christians are legal residents of the United States—some for over 4 decades, however, what singled them out were the felonies on their records. Nefarious motives have been suggested in the roundup. The Chaldeans of Sterling Heights have been voceriferously opposing plans to construct a mega-mosque in the city and their representative group on Facebook, Chaldean Nation, had this to say: “In addition to facing a racist Sterling Heights Mayor Mike Taylor that wants to build a mega mosque, the persecuted Iraqi Christians are now facing heartless federal authorities that are forcing them to go back to Iraq to destroyed Chaldean towns and villages. Obama allowed Islamic cowards to destroy Iraq and Trump is finishing the job. HEARTLESS politicians that have no sense of reality.”

As the bus pulled off, families wailed and let out gut-wrenching cries in desperation and then turned their ire onto President Trump. One distraught woman bemoaned the betrayal of the Chaldeans by President Trump. The detained have not been permitted to speak with their families and around 1,000 Chaldeans staged a protest of the deportation raids in Sterling Hills last night.
