Winchester, VA – The New York Times is reporting that according to unnamed senior officials, a plan is in the works at the White House to force out Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and replace him with C.I.A. Director Mike Pompeo. The replacement scheduled to take place in the next few weeks, and taking Mr. Pompeo’s place at the C.I.A. Would be Arkansas Republican Senator Tom Cotton, who sees more eye to eye with President Trump on national security matters. The transition plan was developed by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, and the President will need to give his approval to it. Some issues which have aroused contention between the President and Secretary of State Tillerson are the Iran nuclear deal, North Korea, and the clash between Arab allies. It was alleged that Secretary of State Tillerson called the President a “moron” and the President declared that Mr. Tillerson was “wasting his time” working on a diplomatic solution with North Korea.
