“Operation Not Forgotten” Finds 39 Missing Children In GA

U.S. marshals have found 39 missing children in Georgia as part “Operation Not Forgotten.” On Thursday, authorities confirmed 26 of the children were rescued and 13 of them have been safely located.
The two-week long operation was conducted across the entire state earlier this month.
U.S. marshals worked alongside the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and others.
n total, nine adults were arrested. According to officials, “the message to missing children and their families is: we will never stop looking for you.”
“‘Operation Not Forgotten’ was designed to locate and recover missing and endangered children in Georgia and beyond, including some who were known to be victims of sex trafficking. If we can save one child from a life of abuse or sex trafficking, we’ve done our job. This operation did that for many, many children.” – Chris Carr, Attorney General of Georgia
A number of the unidentified children were placed in rehabilitation services as needed. Multiple investigations remain underway into the alleged sex traffickers.
