Winchester, VA – Bishop Thomas Paprocki of the Diocese of Springfield exorcised his diocese three years ago over the escalation of the culture war over homosexuality. He had this to say to LifeSite News. (AUDIO) Last week, Bishop Paprocki clarified pastoral practices in his diocese, notifying his priests that in regards to parishioners who are living an active homosexual lifestyle, if they have not exhibited signs of repentance for their sin, they are to neither admit such persons to the sacraments of Holy Communion, Confirmation, or Extreme Unction, nor allow them participation in the ministries of lector or extraordinary minister of Holy Communion. Attendance at same-sex “marriages” by diocesan clergy, employees, or representatives is strictly forbidden, as is donation of Catholic facilities or items consecrated for Catholic worship.
