“It’s just one of those things'” is a conditioned response from the public when they are not surprised by an action or bored with an issue because it was expected.  Mike Parrott gives a few examples of this. His examples include the Vatican plans to hold a synod to include people who “feel” excluded or unwelcome in the church. This includes allowing people in polygamous relationships, LGBQT+ and divorced and remarried to receive the sacraments and would allow for women deacons.  It’s just one of those things

How about, Mike Pence saying “we should be more accepting of trans people, because that’s what my religion says. It’s just one of those things.

In an interview, Donald Trump said “I can’t fire Fauci because he is a civil servant, but I don’t usually let that stop me.”  But it did stop Donald Trump.  It is just one of those things. 

Finally, Hunter Biden’s plea deal.  “Biden is accepting responsibility for his sins.” His statement has just enough penance for the public to forgive and say “it’s just one of those things.”
