Circumnavigating the globe is a navigational feat, and test of seamanship.  It is also the art of living in a confined space.  Most ships that accomplish this monumental task are tiny compared to the oil tankers and the cruise ships that rule the seas.  However, think about the first ships used back when we were exploring the oceans of the world.  These ships were tiny and they held more people  than today’s and those living conditions were tighter when you factor in treasure.  On the anniversary of Francis Drake’s trip around the world, Fiorella explores what life would have been like onboard.  She tells about her visit to the replica of Drake’s ship and how she could not believe that anyone would ever attempt this dangerous task.  Listen to this episode of the Early Show and learn more about this prestigious feat.
