• Authorities have confirmed that the deaths of three Marine lance corporals, Lance Cpl. Tanner J. Kaltenberg (19) from Madison, Wisconsin, Lance Cpl. Merax C. Dockery (23) from Pottawatomie, Oklahoma, and Lance Cpl. Ivan R. Garcia (23) from Naples, Florida, were the result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
• The sequence of events leading to the discovery began with deputies investigating a separate missing person case when they received a call from the mother of one of the Marines, expressing concern over his failure to arrive on a scheduled flight to Oklahoma.
