BE CAREFUL ABOUT STRIPPING THE RIGHTS OF CRAZIES

Winchester, VA – In this Celestial Musings, yesterday President Trump advocated for the due process rights of people deemed “crazy” to be stripped of them. I do not like this one bit, for you know as well as I do, the winds of what determines “crazy” blow one way one day, and another way on another day. It used to be that homosexuality and gender confusion were deemed mental illnesses, and today they are not only accepted, but celebrated, and virtually worshipped under threat of prosecution. With the rapid growth in the numbers of people with mental illness…what if the “crazies” outnumber the “non-crazies”? Then who will be viewed as crazy? The non-crazies of course. I’ll say it again. The bump stock ban, the raising of minimum age for gun purchases, and so on, these are all greasy bandaids on a mortal wound. It’s not going to help one bit, but we’re happy because we think we did something.
