Never Forget, Dems Always Push Forward

Here is what is happening today in the Brief. First, today is the anniversary of 9/11, so we will Never Forget.

Second, Congress seeks to enact gun control. Presently, the legislative branch is waiting on the White House to provide some guidance. Since the Senate left Tuesday evening with no clear indication of what the next steps would be on gun legislation, in the aftermath of several events during the August recess. Despite the hope for a bipartisan solution on guns, Senate Republican and Democratic leadership attacked each other while Trump deliberates.

Third, California Passes Bill To Ensure Minimum Wages To Gig Workers. Now the gig-worker bill introduced in December 2018 targets Uber and Lyft, the transportation network companies based in California.

Also, in the most blatant example of corporate wokeness, Hasbro has announced a new version of the classic Monopoly game. Finally,  in the world famous “You Gotta Be Kiddin Me” goes to PA where a couple are paying for a spending spree.
